January 1st is resolution day! In the past I have made some outrageous and unattainable lists of goals/resolutions, but I'm over that system - it hasn't been effective for me. This year I am going about the "life plan" in an easier more achievable method - no lists! I feel free just typing the words. Instead, I plan to make mental notes of things that are a priority to me and try to give them the attention they deserve. That's it - the whole plan seems so easy. I'm pretty sure this will be the key to simplifying my life and sewing more. I will keep you posted on my progress. Just know that I feel encouraged at this very moment.
2013 was a great year for the Modern Fabric Group Therapy sewing club. I have been pleasantly surprised at how much I look forward to each monthly meeting. The ladies in the group are so inspiring and dedicated to creating lasting friendships through their enthusiasm for sewing. It's all good stuff. If you want to be part of the MFGT Sewing club, it's easy ~ just come to the meeting the 2nd Wednesday of every month (Except July) at The Little General at 12:30 pm - 2:00pm. We have a lot of fun and pack a whole lot of inspiration into an hour and a half. The last meeting of 2013 was too much fun. We had a bunch of Giveaways, exchanged handmade Holiday gifts with one another and talked about Therapy for 2014. Here are a some photos of all the therapy excitement:
Our 2014 Block of the Month project ~ Pattern found in Craftsy Magazine. Can't wait to see everyone's finished quilt.
Wishing you the most wonderful year ever! I can tell it's going to be one to remember. If you have managed to get through this entire post, leave me a comment about your New Year's resolution and I will randomly select a winner from the comments on January 13th. Winner receives a fabulous bundle of fat quarters to add to your stash.
See you soon,
Karen

I do not make resolutions. I like to set goals. My goal this year is to live in the moment, being mindful of all the joy and beauty around!
