Hello,
We have so many exciting things happening in 2011 ~ starting with our new class schedule, which will be on the website shortly. If you've taken a class or 2 at the shop, you probably already know that Gina is on temporary leave because she and her family are expecting a new bundle of joy and she is currently on bed rest. We hope she is back in the shop soon because we miss her humor. In the meantime, we have a few new instructors on board to guide students to sewing success. As soon as I can snap some photos of their lovely faces, I will introduce you to them. You'll have to trust me when I tell you that they are as cool as the ladies who are already teaching the fabulous classes. More on that later.
Here's a peek a the new schedule:

Love the new Amy Butler line! I have not see it in person, so would love to get my hands on some! I am currently in the process of making my son's preschool teachers small clutch purses made from super cute apple fabric, to go with some apple hand soaps.

I was just checking out Amy Butler's new luggage on her site ~ LOVE the wheeled bag! And I'm just about finished making a quilt for my new niece for Christmas ~ hoping to hand-stitch the binding on our big drive out to meet her :)

I'm in love with Amy Butler's new collection--definitely my favorite of hers to date! I made an adorable pencil/paint brush roll up for my sister (an art student at UNC) using Anna Maria Horner's Innocent Crush home deco fabric. Now she can carry her supplies in style!

oh Karen, your class schedule sounds wonderful and I think offering an open sewing hour is a marvelous idea! especially for those of us jonesing to try a new machine! but alas, too long of a drive for me...thanks for a chance at the new AB fabrics...i think her colors are amazing. merry christmas..oh, my daughter and i just wrapped her teachers present which i made: tote bag (frog fabric) fabric covered button magnets (frog fabric) and a fabric covered button hair tie (yep...frog fabric...it is the frog class after all!) and doing lots of fun fabric flower headbands for all the little girls in my life! OH, i am in an online that crafts something each month for charity, this month we did stockings for an orphanage in TX and the Valori Wells peppermint like flannel wrapped around scraps from your show in October was so so perfect! thanks!

I'll be making some rice therapy bags (to heat in microwave). I'm enjoying mine a lot in the current winter weather. I'm also sewing a lap quilt for a friend (mostly a get-well gift, not a Christmas gift). I've also crocheted a few gifts this year.

This year most gifts we're giving are handmade -- supplies are cheaper than finished items! Hah! In years past I've made everything. This year I made my hubby help me pick out fleece and he will help me make the tied fleece blankets. That's the first project that got me into sewing, so who knows... maybe if I win he'll try to take them and start quilting! Hah!

I am finishing up aprons for all of my daughter's friends. She is still too young for her own machine, but she enjoys sitting on my lap and helps me when she can.
