Hello!
Thank you to everyone who came to the Flaunt! event to support local & handmade goodness. It has taken a full week for me to recover from all the fun we had and I can't tell you how many phone calls/emails I've received requesting a Spring Flaunt! I'm thinking about it, but need a little more time to pass so I can completely forget how much work went into the preparations. Which leads me to my huge thank you list ~ I truly could not have done it without all the support from Sue and Gina, all the extremely swift & efficient volunteers, the awesome vendors, Sean Mettler, ReynoldaVillage, and let's not forget Westminster Fabrics for adding a new level of commotion to the day. The Raffle ticket system was a big success. In addition to the contribution all the vendors made, we were able to sell enough raffle tickets to donate $1000 to Brenner Children's Hospital, which is more than double from last year! I'm feeling really good about this and you should too. We had 20 raffle winners - with the Grand Raffle prize going to Lauren Flogel. Congratulations Lauren. The Grand raffle was comprised of fabulous items with a value of $500 - a Sizzix Big Shot, Amy Butler's New Lark Collection Fat Quarter Bundle, Handmade knit hat by The Little General, 10 Amy Butler Patterns, a cute Doll quilt & pillow, + hours of happiness Lauren will experience while admiring her loot. Let's face it, there really is no $$ value to this prize.
I also want to thank all the kind ladies who brought their quilts in to be exhibited at the event - Kathleen Baden, Tillie Willis, Lauren Flogel, Sue Lauer, Gina Allen, and Laurie Cook. The quilts all looked spectacular and I know they offered so much inspiration to onlookers.
Thanks to my husband and son for taking photos of the extravaganza to share with you - enjoy!
Have a nice day.
