Remember when I mentioned that I am after the ultimate goal ~ that being complete balance in all areas of life. Well, it seems I really do like to challenge myself. Why make it easy, right? I am learning so much in the 2 short weeks my shop has been open. The best part is that I get to meet so many cool people, who like me, like to make stuff. Everyday my customers like to share some great ideas that can be achieved with amazing fabrics.... the conversation usually starts out like this, "Karen, you know what you should make?" I love it! Of course, in my pursuit of complete fabric balance, it is pretty critical to have a little focus - otherwise I could end up doing a lot of nothing. I am not interested in that. Anyway, I hope to be sharing with you all kinds of super fun ideas I come across. It's going to be a fun ride, so buckle up.So, about the fabulous giveaway... I am giving away one of my original Peace Quilts If you are interested in adding a little bit of colorful comfort to your life, just head over to the FreeSpirit blog and post a comment. It's that easy.

I can't wait to hear your fun ideas! And what a nice give away. Your peace quilts are amazing and beautiful. I look forward to your creative blog entries and good luck with completing your first month of being a shop owner.

I'm heading over RIGHT NOW. And I'm coming back to the shop soon-- your place is all the buzz here-- every sewer I know has been in and we are all in love.
I want you to do a workshop on bag sewing-- it kind of baffles me-- esp. things like working in the zippers and hard stuff like that!

Hi Karen,
I really enjoyed visiting your shop yesterday. What a great giveaway you are having. I just added your name to my blog list and look forward to reading more.
(I am the one that got the little piece of fabric with the surfboard on it)

Oh, Karen --
THANK YOU doesn't seem enough to cut it for this quilt, but just imagine me shouting it from my rooftop all the way over in Tulsa, Oklahoma! I was the extremely fortunate winner of the quilt giveaway, and I cannot even believe it. What gorgeous quilts you make -- your quilt will be very much loved and appreciated at my house. I wish I lived close enough to come visit your store, so if we ever make it out that way, I will definitely pay a visit. Again, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for such an amazing and generous giveaway! I'm over the moon with excitement!

Hey Karen,
Thanks for my surprise kleenex holder. That was sweet of you to add that to my scrap fabrics when I came into the store last week.
